Taylor Swift's Eras Tour must include these 33 songs (2023)

It's been four days since Swift announced the Eras tour and already rumors are swirling about her setlist. Swift himself somehowconfirmedcontain "delicacy". Fans also have strong opinions about whether or not he should sing mashups and the 10-minute version of "All Too Well," as well as the fact that he has no upcoming D.C. dates. (Waiting to see whether or not the Democrats retain control of Congress?) I'd pay to hear Taylor Swift cough, so I really (mostly) agree with whatever she plays, but when she doesn't . "Cruel Summer," I'm going to burn myself.

Historically, Swift shows have been two hours long, but I need this tour to give it to usat leastThird: hypothetically because of the long list of songs I have in mind, but also in real life because I can finally scream the full bridge of "champagne problems" with other people instead of driving alone in my car. Hometown on return trips to see my parents. So I narrowed it down to Swift's 229 songs (according to Rob SheffieldclassificationemRolling Stone, which I strongly disagree with, but that's a conversation for another day) to 33, which I think is a good number given he's turning 33 on the Eras tour.

There are some glaring omissions and some real wildcards that will probably never get the privilege of being played live :( But that's my dream. It's also the hardest thing I've ever done. I will travel to as many shows as my budget allows just to hear this live as often as possible. I've been waiting to scream, "I love you, isn't that the worst thing you've ever heard?" since I first heard "Cruel Summer" at 12:05. M. on 08/23/2019.

Taylor Swift isn't the problem. We (the fans) are the problem for continuing to let Taylor Swift ruin our lives and bank accounts with her music.

She will have to make a costume change between singing her "Krimi" songs and her "Rewriting Shakespeare" song. During this costume change, we enjoy a video clip of Meredith, Olivia and Benjamin singing about what it's like when Taylor cleans her litter box.

This is going to be a particularly cathartic number as we all always knew we belonged with Taylor. He will be wearing a t-shirt with his name on itEveryonePerson present at this show.

A hard spin! I don't want a chronological setlist of Swift's career. I want to surprise myself every season, and1989AFolkloreit is the sharpest emotional whiplash of their entire discography. every song in itFolkloreIt's a masterpiece in my opinion, but these two are worthy of 100-part symphonies.

I think Swift will probably do some covers of "Cardigan" and "Willow" but not in my setlist. this will be thefolklore/alwaysMashup that no one could have predicted. But me.

That's going to be the moment on the show where she sits down at the piano and tells us a little monologue about how much she loves us. Another difficult pivot! The1989AmidnightPart will be the big dance section. You'll likely travel to a B-Stage or walk through the crowd and greet everyone. "Paris" is a3 a.m.Lied, but I think it deserves to see a stadium. Honestly, she could play any trio of songsmidnightThis one here. He could sit down and play us the whole damn album. Imagine the drum remix of "Holy Ground" from the Red tour and the rock remix of "I Knew You Were Trouble" from the 1989 tour together. "Holy Ground" is the best song ever ("Cruel Summer" is the second), and this is the only hill in my life I will die happy on.

It still makes me angry that we stole that perfect song that was included in 2012Rot.It should be a solo. That's what I should have heard when this loser from Ireland ghosted me in 2013 after telling me he or whatever doesn't matter. It's a great song and I want to see it live :)

I have no idea how this mashup would work, BUT in my mind, "You're Alone, Boy" leads us to "Live Long," and the icing on the cake is that she nailed it all. This trio spans Swift's entire career and her endless appreciation for all of us. This finale lasts 25 minutes and includes fireworks, a marching band and Karen the inflatable call snake. Rota,and free goods falling from drones disguised as stars in the midnight sky. Well done Taylor!
